How will you be loading and unloading your shipping container?

Most of the trailers mentioned above will require a crane for loading and unloading. A tiltbed trailer is the only one that does not require one, due to its ability to lower and maneuver. Our agents can arrange these accommodations or the customer has the option to make the arrangements themselves. The crane rental will add to the cost (about $500-$1000 per hour). It will usually take between one and three hours. For this reason, we take care to assure that the truck driver and crane arrive at the same time so that no one’s time or money is wasted.

Shipping Container movers Virginia

1- A customer called in to move a twenty-foot container with two beds, a toddler bed, barstools, and a sofa. To get the client the cheapest price to move the unit, we decided to do a two-part move. Have a flatbed carrier and a crane service meet on pickup. The crane loaded the container onto the flatbed and unloaded it on delivery. Compared to hiring a tilt bed trailer, this style is much cheaper.

2- Transport of 20-foot conex containers from the port to the customer’s warehouse. Upon delivery, they had forklifts unload the Conex because it was loaded with freight. We then brought back the container to the port. Freight is often transported out of containers and back to ports using this method.
